Are you going for Boating Safaris in Tanzania? This page will guide you about Canoeing safaris in Tanzanian Water and all you need to know about boat and canoe safaris in Tanzania rivers, Lakes and oceans.

Boating and Canoeing through the rivers, ocean bays and water ways of Tanzania can be an exhilarating experience.

River boating can take you past sleeping crocodiles and hippos sunning themselves with their mouths wide open, gathered in half-submerged herds. On Tanzania's large fresh water lakes, boats are a popular means of transport and offer visitors the chance to see life under water.

Water safaris in Selous Game Reserve are on offer as a break from longer game viewing and give visitors the oppotunity to get out in the open and see tremendous amounts of bird life and water species up close. Despite the proximity of Crocodiles and hippos during boat safaris, the expeditions are extremely safe and the animals react with puzzled curiosity to the site of boats on water.

Sail into chimpanzee territory on a dhow, skimming over the fresh, crystal waters of the Lake Tanganyika, or travel up the Wami River in Saadani, surrounded by amazing Birdlife, Hippos and Alligators.

Canoeing trips are available in the Arusha National Park and are a wonderful experience, drifting past herds of Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos and Buffalos as you cruise along the shores of the lake surrounded by countless flocks of birds.
