Zanzibar Sea Cliff Resort & Spa

We were looking for an affordable/luxury holiday anywhere in the world for a week at the last minute.

We settled on Sea Cliff Resort and Spa Zanzibar.

Picking a hotel in Zanzibar is pretty difficult as there are so many and have similar ratings.

Sea Cliffs is on the west coast about a 30 min drive from the airport.

It is a stunning hotel set on a cliff.

You can walk down to the beach during low tide and walk all the way along to neighboring beaches.

If you don't like tides then apparently the very north has less tidal changes.

We didn't have issues with urchins or seaweed as some other people have spoken about at other hotels.

At the hotel there is a stunning jetty out over the water where you can have sundowners.

The communal areas are lovely and open, luxurious and comfortable.

The rooms were small but neat.

The bathroom was average.

The grounds were stunning with tennis courts that we made use of.

The pools are fabulous.

There is an 80 metre pool so if you are missing exercise, you can easily get in some great training in this pool.

The only bummer about seacliff's location was that there was no snorkelling to be done from the hotel.

The food was good

There are lots to do in Zanzibar. But definitely trust the tour guides you meet on the beach.

Way cheaper and often the tours are better!! But girls - travel in groups and husbands/partners, keep close. some of the zanzibar local men can be rather unnerving.

Do the safari blue tour - definitely worth it and do a day trip into stonetown.
