After a slightly dodgy experience at a hotel in Singida, I decided to up my budget a bit for Mwanza and stay at the Treehouse.

I loved the view and the accommodations - spotless and beautiful.

The staff there were fabulous and made me feel completely safe and secure which was exactly what I needed.

Breakfast was included and consisted of yogurt, granola, fruit, bread, jams, and eggs to order

They had a book exchange going and lots of place to relax.

I did my laundry and used their internet stick. Overall, just amazing and I wish I could have stayed longer. I met a lot of really interesting people there too!

Treehouse is located about a 20 minute walk from downtown Mwanza or a 5 minute cab ride.

This was a great find and a great place to stay. The staff members are very friendly and made me feel really at home. If you are going to stay for longer than a week, definitely contact them for a deal.

The Treehouse is a truly wonderful place to stay with comfortable rooms with plenty of 'home away from home' touches.

The hotel is also perfectly safe, although this should not be a huge concern in Mwanza... still, worth mentioning.

I would definitely stay again... remember that the profits go to their programmes with street children, so couldn't possibly be a better combination of luxury for you and doing well for children!
