The Taita Hills & Saltlick Wildlife Resort is spectacularly located at the foot of Taita Hills and adjacent to Tsavo National Park, one of the world’s largest game reserves.

200 km from Mombasa and 400 km from Nairobi. The Saltlick Lodge consists of 96 rooms elevated on stilts and linked by raised walkways.


The restaurant serves international and local cuisine and the terraced bar offers spectacular views of the waterhole and surrounding grasslands, where elephant, buffalo and a variety of plains game can be seen throughout the year.

The area is illuminated by floodlights to facilitate game viewing at night, and there is an underground tunnel and chamber allowing guests to closely and safely view wildlife at ground level.
