Singh Restaurant Mombasa

Singh Restaurant Mombasa was started by a Sikh pioneer - Mr Dalip Singh and is still run as a family business by his son and grandchildren.

For every main meal ordered you get hot chapattis to your table - as many as you can eat - Sikh hospitality at its very best.

Great punjabi food - they really do go out of their way to cater for vegetarians and it's fully licensened too!.

Singh is one of those restaurants you just can't go wrong with.

Food has tasted the same for years now! The ambience is that of a simple but busy household, whose business is to feed its visitors with good food!!

Having been born and brought up in Mombasa, Singh Restaurant has always been a family favourite.

When we are in the mood for a sumptious meal, Singh Restaurant is the place to go.

The restaurant's speciality is non-veg - several of my friends have claimed that this place makes the best chicken dishes in all of East Africa!!

Being vegetarians, I cannot vouch the claim, however, the vegetarian food is very tasty and of high quality. The black lentil daal (or Maa di daal - as it is known in Punjabi) with their unlimited hot chapatis is an all time personal favourite!

The prices are very, very reasonable - at times a bit too low for the quantity and quality of food!

I would definitely recommend Singh Restaurant....keep up the good work!
