Protea Hotel Amani Beach

Protea Hotel Amani Beach in Kutani area Tanzania was a wonderful getaway from town. We spent 3 nights over there though it was raining but we still loved the place and the environment.

Food and rooms were the most outstanding part of this facility.

This is a lovely spot to get away from Dar es Salaam if you are resident there or as a two to three day break before or after a safari inland to see the magical wildlife of Tanzania.

The rooms are kept in a very nice shape with all things kept perfectly. Food was amazing and the cakes that were served at the high tea time and in dessert out of this world so fresh and so nice.

The accommodation was fantastic value for money for a family of 5. We played tennis, swam and went for walks along the pathways all around the property. There are loads of monkeys - really cute and a real thrill for the little ones.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, it doesn't get better than this. It is not easy to find beautiful places that have not been spoilt by tourism.

Set amongst 40 hecters of indigenous woodland overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Protea Hotel Amani Beach is just 30kms south of Dar es Salaam.

With its own superb beach, accommodation at this exclusive resort hotel offers an opportunity for a holiday in paradise.

The architecture and design conveys an Afro-Arabian style typical of the Swahili Coast providing tranquility, charm and character similar to the garden palaces of the past Sultans of Zanzibar.

The cottage style rooms, each with a garden terrace and hammock, overlook the Indian Ocean.Protea Hotel Amani Hotel's swahili inspired buildings, including the lounge, dinning and bar areas are uniquely decorated with predominantly local and Pan - African art pieces.
