Stayed at Paradise Express Hotel - and when I am thinking of the hotel I just start to smile!
We travelled in organizational-work and stayed in Dar for a week or so, and we found this hotel in a good price-range.

The rooms are clean, the restaurant was the absolute best we ever visited in Tanzania and whatever you ordered it was delicious!!! Although the hotel is a bit away from the city center - which to we walked - by some not recommended - we found the location good.

You actually saw a bit of the everyday life in general (Which if you are there on business and staying on a expensive resort by the beach do not experience).

But, take it careful when out walking and keep your eyes open - and if not necessary, do not bring so much luggage when you are out on the streets!

We deem the level of service of the hotel very high! And the persons in the staff we personally liked

Located about a 5 min drive from the ferry port, and a short drive to the airport. There are lots of shops around the area, I did not feel comfortable venturing out on my own. I was surprised how quiet it was in the room, seeing as how we are located on a busy road.

Nice air-conditioned rooms. Mosquito nets are available. Comfortable beds. Nice hot showers ,Toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, and comb. Satellite TV with a range of channels including E! and Action. WIFI is supposedly available in the lobby.

There is wired internet access available in the rooms. 2 bottles of water, coffee and tea in the room, along with a hot water kettle.

Other hotel feature includes a gym. I peeked in; looks pretty good. An elliptical, some

weight machines, and I do believe an exercise bike. There were other things too, but I onlypaid attention to the elliptical, which is my usual machine of choice.

Food is decent. Cost me 15000 TSH for buffet dinner. I had a packed breakfast due to my early flight which included various pastries and 2 sausages.

Staff are friendly and accommodating.
