Kivulini Village Beach Hotel

You are Here: › Kivulini Village Beach Hotel

We stayed at Kivulini Village Beach Hotel in Malindi Kenya . Travel purchased at the last minute and it was absolutely worth it.

The village is built in typical local style, with a restaurant open from which you can see the sea and buffet varied and plentiful.

The rooms are divided into two types, those "original", so cute, round plan with makuti roof, porch, fantastic walk-in closet (the size of a single room), very large bathroom is always clean.

Mosquito, as everywhere in Kenya, and in the evening around 18/19 always walked an attendant to spray anti-mosquito in the room.

Always flowers on the bed, beautiful compositions.

Then there are the rooms recently built (I think there was a fire a few years ago, the village and some rooms have been reconstructed), are on two floors, African style, but always less traditional.

I have not seen the inside as we were placed in one of those round plan.

The pool is not huge but always kept clean, the towels are always available.

The animators (Italian and Kenyan) talented, funny, witty but never intrusive, always have tried to organize daytime and evening cute.

The evening entertainment was often that could consist of acrobatic shows (notevoli!) groups of Kenyans, or Masai dance or even a cabaret.

In the late evening you could go out with hotel shuttle, accompanied by guides, and go for a drink at or near Malindi, or playing at the casino, if you wanted to pull later.

If I had to find a mole in this beautiful structure is the absence of the beach itself, because the village slopes down to a small cliff, which can be unsightly at times even when, during low tide, algae discovered.

But you can take a walk and maybe go see the wives of fishermen cleaning their catch and are willing to talk

I would recommend this hotel to couples of all ages.
