Kens Place in Nairobi City is a great place to
stay if you're on a budget. The low cost makes it attractive in these difficult
times!
The good:
+ Spacious - with kitchen, and big living room
+ Great ambience – inside
+ Airport pickup and drop-off arranged for you on request
+ Great and Genuine Hospitality.
+ Cheap! $35-$40 per night. That’s really cheap for Nairobi.
+ Clean and comfortable
+ Local guide will take care of all your needs and be your unofficial
"body guard"
+ Discreet & tactful - none of the drama typical of Nairobi hotels
+ Perfect for business, travellers, backpackers, Globe-trotting clubbers, young
unmarried couples, solo travellers and anyone on a budget.
The negatives:
- average surroundings. No view. Place was not originally designed as a hotel.
No landscaping.
- basic furnishing. Don't expect Intercontinental / hilton standards
- may not be great for family, or husband/wife (especially if prone to nagging)
