Ol-moran Tented Camp

Ever been to O-moran Tented Camp? When u want to experience a tent, you would first be reluctant to try the same because u are not sure about the cleanliness, the food, the water....I was suggested by a few colleagues to try out the 5 star experience of Stanley Maara but of course that comes with a price; so after a let of coaxing from our travel manager, we booked ourselves at the Ol Moran tented camps.

After a very difficult road journey from Nairobi to Masai (thanks to the poor infrastructure) , we were greeted on arrival with a refreshing Orange juice and warm towels to wipe our tired faces.

The food was simple buffet but yet tasty. The rooms were very neat and clean, putting our fears to rest.

The place is just quite close to the Maara entrance; the staff friendly and helpful.

Though they told us the lights would be off from 10pm - 6am, we slept quite peacefully after we came back tired from our game drive.

They ensured all blinds were pulled down, the musquito repellent was put on..... Nice experience without compromising your comfort.

it is nice to stay in a place like a tented camp instead of a building, feel more like in the wild.

They provide self-serviced meals which are the most delicious food I had in Kenya, especially the spaghetti with meat-ball!!! Chef YumYum create many excellent yummy sauce!!

Basically it is safe and all the staff are very nice and helpful. You will miss there when you leave.

The basic tents are just that: Basic. The beds will accommodate two people and there are full bathroom facilities in each one.

The luxury tents, on the other hand, have a full porch, two large beds, other inside furniture and a large bathroom area.

Our shower's water pressure was a bit low, but our friends (in the same type of tent) had amazing water pressure.

It should be noted that power is only on for a limited time during the day, as well as the hot water.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. We never waited on anything at the restaurant and the food was good.

I cannot say enough about the fresh fruit and juices offered. They even packed us a delicious lunch for an extensive game drive one day.
