We had a lovely time at Asha cottages in Diani Mombasa, we spent 4 nights after a safari in Kenya and the room, the food, the staff and our hostess Dominique were all terrific..I will never forget the perfect dinners at the edge of their garden where the beach begins with the crabs racing around on the beach and the sound of the ocean in the background

We were totally charmed (as by their staff)and we will certainly return..Hoping to see their little school in full swing!

The setting

The setting is beautiful, with its large open sitting area framing the breath taking sea view. Walk down the steps into the pool area, which is carefully positioned to protect you from the prying eyes of people on the beach. The rooms are tastefully decorated and kept immaculately clean.

As experienced travellers we booked the bed & breakfast option, expecting to want to try out all of the local restaurant, but the food at Asha proved too tempting and at such great value we seldom bothered to go out to eat.

Special mention must be made to the wonderful tradition of serving complementary afternoon tea. This thoughtful token by the owners is a lovely touch and brings all the guests out for an afternoon treat.

The staff at Asha cottage is all so polite and welcoming. Waiters wait for your cue and then interact with you as much or as little as you wish and the kitchen staff are willing to adapt dishes should your diet require. The owners are also extremely helpful and are keen to offer any advice to make your stay complete.

Be aware the minute you stray out of the safety of Asha’s beautify presented property and step onto Diani Beach you will soon be met with a barrage of polite yet pushy young men desperate to sell you all manner of holiday souvenirs.

Visiting Asha cottage gives you the welcome of staying with friends with the comfort of a luxury resort and we hope at some point to be able to return.
