Admissions


Zetech College offers training in a variety of fields the intakes for these courses are structures as follows


JKUAT PROGRAMS

Intakes for the JKUAT programs are done in January, April May and September every year . for each of these intakes one must apply at least one to two months before the commencement month of each intake. Applications are done on official applications forms (Download forms from the attachment section at the bottom of this page) which can also be downloaded online or obtained from any of our campuses


The applicants must fill the form in duplicate and attach

2 passport photos

A photocopy of KCSE result slip

A copy of their Identification card

The form should be returned to any of our campuses with requisite application fee of Kshs 500 for Diploma Programs and Kshs 1,500 for degree programs.


REGULAR PROGRAMS

Regular programs are courses which are examined by all the other national and International examination bodies except JKUAT.

The Kenya national examination Council – KNEC.

The Association of Business Executives - ABE

IATA

Kenya Accountants and Secretaries national Examination Board - KASNEB

City and Guilds

Instititute of Commercial Management - ICM

The admissions for these programs are determined by the exam schedules of their respective courses, however majorly the admissions are held in January, March, June and September.

The programs operate on an open registration format which means as long as one has met the minimum requirements for the course all they need to is register for the course by filling the Registration forms (Download forms from the attachment section at the bottom of this page) which can also be downloaded online or obtained from any of our campuses


The applicant must also attach the following documents

  • 2 passport photos
  • A photocopy of KCSE result slip
  • A copy of their Identification card
  • The following fees are also payable upon registration
  • Admission fee – Kshs 500
  • Library fee – Kshs 1,500
  • Student welfare – Kshs 1500
  • Exam Administration Fee Kshs 250 per term
  • Attachment fee - Kshs 2500 (optional)
  • Graduation Fee - Kshs 1500 (optional)

Facilities and Services at Zetech College Kenya


LIBRARY


Zetech library is located on Moi Avenue, Pioneer house, 2nd floor, Nairobi. The library supports the learning and research activities of the college through provision of responsive, dynamic services that meet the changing information needs of a diverse ZETECH Community.


The library boasts of a collection of over 2,500 volumes of information resources in both print and non-print media. The library has a sitting capacity of 200 users. It also has an electronic media section that is fully furnished with 20 computers as well as internet connectivity to allow for free access to information in electronic format.


Mission


To support the learning, research and other scholarly missions of the college through provision of high-quality services that meet the information needs of its diverse users.


Vision

To be a centre of excellence in provision and dissemination of information in support of the learning, teaching and research mission of the college through providing information literacy skills to enable users make maximum use of the library materials.


SERVICES


Library Catalogue

Zetech Library has card catalogues that can be accessed by the library users for retrieval of information materials from the library.


Circulation

Academic staff can borrow up to 4 books for a maximum duration of one week


Students can borrow only one book per week week


Materials that are frequently referred to by users are placed in the short loan section where they are borrowed for a few hours


Reference and referral services

Library users are referred to the information materials where they can get the specific information that is of interest to them both within and outside the library.


Reading Facilities

The Library has a sitting capacity of 200 and is fitted with comfortable tables and chairs that make the environment conducive for reading.


Reservation

Members can request the library staff to reserve for them information materials on loan that they would like to have once they have been returned to the library.


Online services

The library has a computer section where 20 internet ready computers have been setup to allow the users to access electronic resources available on the world wide web.

Monday to Friday: 8.30 am -7.30 pm

Saturday: 8.30 am-3.00 pm

Sundays and Public holidays: Closed.

Why Zetech College 


At ZETECH, we believe success is a journey, not a destination. The College has experienced constant growth and has been improving and developing its services and facilities and is now poised to realize part of its vision by attaining University status by 2013.


To this end, the institution has engaged in a vigorous process of rationalizing its operations to align itself with the requirements of the Commission for Higher Education (CHE).


The College has also sought to broaden access to education nationwide, and is looking to open branches in various regions of the country. To this end, we embrace innovative ways of increasing access to education to all Kenyans through the use Information Technology.


Among the foundations of Vision 2030, is development in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) and Human Resources development. ZETECH will take centre-stage in the achievement of these objectives.


The College will maintain its focus on Developing Careers while responding to the dynamic and contemporary challenges of post secondary education.


QUALITY CONTROL

To measure the performance of our trainers and the satisfaction of our students, we request our students to fill out anonymous questionnaires to let us know how we performed against what they expected. Our Quality Assurance Manager then uses this information to ensure constant improvement of how we serve our students and improving the morale of the staff. The College tries as much as possible to create a free atmosphere where the students can easily interact with the administration and the teaching staff. We also have career counselors whose main aim is to advise and work to mitigate any unrest among our students.


TEACHING STAFF

Zetech College has a technical interviewing panel in every department and headed by the Human Resource Manager, the panel ensures that qualified competent and dedicated professionals who are able to meet the diverse needs of our students fill all vacancies available. To ensure continuous development of the staff performance the college has in place a routine staff appraisal process. It seeks to evaluate the individual's skills, knowledge and behavior in relation to the expectations of the institution with a view to establishing high levels of professionalism in conducting their duties.
