Zanzibar rock Restaurant

We went to Zanzibar rock restaurant the other night while in Zanzibar.

We hired a car from Stonetown where the weather was sunny....when we got to The Rock it was absolutely pouring and ridiculously windy.

Nevertheless we had an awesome time at this very unique restaurant.

The ambiance was great, the servers were friendly, and the food was delicious.

There was only 1 other party of 4 ( we had 5) in the restaurant and when we tried to leave the weather was too bad to get the boat out there.

We waited about an hour (and another glass of wine) and the boat arrived to take all 9 of us back to shore.

We had a lot of fun even when we thought we might be spending the right at the restaurant if the boat couldn't get to us! (ha ha!)

Other Restaurants and Quick Food Outlets

I would definitely recommend this experience even during the rainy season! Also the drive from Stonetown definitely gives you some exposure to more village life than jus being in Stonetown.

The menu is small but my friends and I had a variety of dishes. All were excellent, with good sized portions for the money.

Meals cost about the same as a nice meal at a nice restaurant in a big city in the States.

Also, there's no chance to get a view like The Rock offers. To say the least, it is absolutely stunning
