Utengule Coffee Lodge

We did not choose the hotel.

We landed there after a traffic accident.

The managers picked us up from the hospital and took care about us as best friends.

We spend one week in Utengule Coffee Lodge Mbeya Town and during that time we had the best quality care and support.

We were driven to hospital whenever we needed; we were offered help, assistance and heartiness.

It is easy to manage a hotel when everything goes right, but they showed real professionalism in an emergency situation. We will be grateful forever.

Moreover:

1) accomodation of various price level - nice, clean, comfortable

3) facilities - everybody cand find something for himself/herself

4) hospitality – fantastic

5) location - breathtaking view esp. sunsets

Treat yourself a break from the chaotic Africa and enjoy a nice stay at Utengule... Okay one notice,

the price...!!! Take a short look at the website and you'll see that your "normal" African budget is way way way over... but just take a deep breathe and compare with normal "European" prices and you'll soon enough get over the pricy 60$USD per night.

Enough said moneywise, the experience is just AMAZING. For a treat, it is an awesome treat.

The restaurant offers a different menu every night and every night was just perfect. Good quality,

fresh and full filling. You don't have the impression to be in Africa, but you can still taste the african freshness.

For the rooms, we took the "basic" and cheapest room, but WHAT A DIFFERENCE from the usual African standard. You feel like a king nonetheless and you can finally have a nice long luxurious sleep with your love one.

Well recommended for couple who travel in the African chaos and need a break from reality.

Some basic trails are mentioned at the office, eg. a walk across the coffee plantation. Don't get too excited, and bring a compass or iphone to know how to get back. trust me, it can be confusing.
