paradise hotel..
When you arrive through the big gates, you are welcomed with cool drinks and the beautiful view hits you..
It is true that there are many Italian guests, however we did not encounter any challenges in communicating with the local or Italian staff.
But, perhaps it all is relative?
The staff is very friendly and helpful and certainly made our stay a very pleasant one.
We also found the buffet meals quite acceptable.
Eating octopus or shrimps from a lunch buffet might not sound a great idea in Tanzania, however these guys have chilled plates to keep the food cool.
Also, they use honey drops on plates to
attract flies and wasps, which is an excellent way to guarantee the juices and
fruits for human consumption remain in immaculate condition.
In the dinner buffet, they usually also have a
catch of the day from the sea. Tuna steak carved from a tuna captured in the
morning and cut in the buffet was one of the yummiest experiences in Tanzania.
Also, other seafood was excellent and we did not experience any problems with
our stomachs as a result of these seafood ventures.
Unlike some resorts in Zanzibar, this resort has
access to the beach. The pool area is also very nice. We stayed at a beach
house, but I agree the views from the next row of buildings probably is not
much worse.
Despite the good quality of the resort and very affordable prices, the occupancy was quite low, and I would encourage to asking for any packages or promotional rates.
It also makes sense to think carefully whether you want to have bed & breakfast, halfboard or all inclusive.
The price difference might not be huge. I would go back any day for nice and relaxing break with sun, beach and good food at a very competitive rate.
