Two tables Restaurant Zanzibar

You are Here: › Two tables Restaurant Zanzibar

Two tables Restaurant Zanzibar" means really two tables in the veranda of the owner's house! He will ask you to take off your shoes and he will bring you upstairs and serve you simple dishes of local food (rice, chicken, vegetable, spices, fish).

We had the most incredible fruit juice we have ever tasted: a mix of banana, orange, papaja, lime and coco nuts!! Ask it to the owner, it's worth the trip to Zanzibar! =)

Remember to book in advance because there are at most 15 seats! This restaurant was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life.

2 tables so called because it has 2 tables. Don't be put off by the following.

You will find the entrance down a back alley, go in and wait downstairs in amidst a melee of mismatched relics.

When you go upstairs, you walk through the front room of the host family, who are watching TV. You will go into the dining room which is an attached room which leads off the main room.

The chef busies himself in the kitchen and brings you a set menu - no choice, and plenty of water. There is a LOT of food. But it is an experience not to be missed
