Twiga Lodge and Campsite

You are Here: › Twiga Lodge Camp

From Arusha, it is only a short one-and-a-half hours’ drive on an excellent tarmac road to Twiga Lodge and Campsite.

Whether you are returning from safari or just setting out on your great Tanzanian adventure, make sure that Twiga Campsite & Lodge figures prominently on your itinerary!

Just want to add that beyond the perfect location, beautiful scenery, guaranteed views of big and small game, respect for the native employees, good conversation, expert advice for the other parts of Africa, and delightful company, the gin and tonics in the viewing platform AND frisbee on the huge lawn are other attributes of Twiga Lodge.

It feels like home within hours, and why leave? The park directly adjacent to their property has nearly every animal one goes to Africa to view!

Paul is a knowledgeable guide and took us on a terrific private tour of this park (Arusha), an unplanned part of our itinerary.

Though it was our first full day in Arusha, it was one of the best for animal viewing in five weeks of travel. They even shared with us their videos on the Great Rift, and other aspects of the continent in which we'd expressed an interest.

If one is spending a night going to or from the area, I would think it hard to stay in a nicer accommodation than Twiga
