Zanzibar Tower Top restaurant

This was the 17th Time I went to the Zanzibar Tower Top restaurant in this lifetime. I guess that it was low season and we were the only people booked.

We arrived a few minutes late but got a fantastic sunset and the Aarti at the temple followed by the Azaan and then we were treated to a good enough meal but it left a little to be desired this time around.

The food was good, tasty but not up to the standard I had expected.

The service was slow.

The staff where just hanging about talking to themselves.

But overall it was a great evening as the breeze kept us cool and the ambience was lovely

The position of this restaurant perched on the 236 Hurumzi Hotel is very nice, affording great views over the rusty roof scape of Stone Town, with the excellent sea view and boats as back drop.

Makes one see the entire old city right around. Go for sunset drinks and then dinner. Food is OK, service good. Position is the main thing.

Book becausde it's small and busy ! Wine a bit expensive ... as the rest of the town I suppose.
