The River Camp Jinja

The River Camp in Bujagali near Jinja Town Uganda is guaranteed to make anyone’s trip go from great to fantastic! The View is gorgeous and when you've finished with that, a dip in the pool with a cool beverage from the bar is the icing on the cake!

All the staff I encountered were delightful, especially the owners! They have more than time for anything you need, and are really welcoming.

It is a backpackers lodge and one of the best for rooms! Space for all your junk and plenty of space to chill in front of your room or down on the sofas at the bar! If you get a chance to taste one of their bbq's,

Do It! Only one negative for me and thats the party atmosphere is a minutes walk away, but thats just me being lazy! Relax and Enjoy!

A great place to go for a weekend to escape the Kampala rat-race or stay if you're travelling in Uganda.

15minutes drive from Jinja town and you could be in another world. Accommodation is not expensive. A good destination for both peace and party.

The staff are extremely friendly, great to chat with and will help you out with anything you need. The food at the camp bar is good and a fairly wide selection.

There is also The Black Lantern restaurant if you want even more of a choice. Just be prepared to wait a little while, its "African time", but you soon get used to ordering your food a little earlier.

There's a choice of accommodation, dorms or there's plenty of room to camp. Both are great value. The facilities are cleaned everyday (showers, toilets, etc), so its always a good standard.

There's plenty to do, loads of activities nearby to get involved in: white water rafting, kayaking, quad biking, and horse back riding... all right on the doorstep.

If that's not up your street, you can always relax by the pool or take a trip into Jinja. It’s so relaxing.
