The Lake Nakuru Flamingo Lodge

You are Here: › The Lake Nakuru Flamingo Lodge

Traveling by car from Nairobi, I was looking for a hotel outside Nakuru to avoid the noisy city. The Lake Nakuru Flamingo Lodge is just outside the park by the Lanet gate.

This is no problem and takes you 2 minutes to be in the park if you have paid in advance by charging you safari card up.

The lodge is not up to the quality of the lodges in the park and it's location is in the middle of a few houses.

However, if you are at Nakuru to see the animals rather than staying in a posh lodge then this will be ideal for you. It is much cheaper

The lodge is nice and clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large with a king size bed, tv and table and chairs. The en suite bathroom is clean and basic with an adequate shower.

The dining room is clean and a little like a travel lodge but the food was good and there was plenty of it. Breakfast was excellent and consisted of several courses.

Overall we had a really positive stay at this lodge and would recommend it to others. However if you want to have that 'in the wild experience', this place is not for you!
