Tanzanice Farm

I was at Tanzanice Farm ,I could say a lot about the area and the experience of just being there.

The highlight of the trip was though sitting at the fire made by the farm manager and his assistant.

I sat under my Masai-blanket as the sky expanded and came alight with more stars than I had ever seen.

The men chatted in a low voice in a language completely alien to me. The hyenas howled in the distance. The Ngorongoro crater rising into the sky not far away.

This is perhaps not very different from how it was for the first humans hundreds of thousands of years ago. And this is definitely the place.

Weather you trace humanity back 2 million years or only 200.000, this is where we came from. This night I will never forget.

The farm and the new guesthouse is owned by an Icelandic family, who employes local people to help them tend the farmland, cook and take care of the guests.

Tanzanice Farm is located between farmland of the local people of Bashay Village, so staying at the farm makes you truly feel like part of the society.

The guesthouse is simple but very nice looking and clean. The atmosphere is very inviting and friendly.

In the evening a bonfire was lit and we sat outside gazing at the amazingly starry sky, enjoying our evening drink.

The farm is close to the great Ngorongoro Crater and other natural wonders, so it was easy to go visit those natural sites as well as some of the local tribes, which Claud Goy, the guide connected to Tanzanice Farm had organized very good.

A great, great place that will stay with you.
