Sunrise Guest House Hotel in Zanzibar

You are Here: › Sunrise Guest House Hotel

Actually it was a stay at Sunrise Guest House Hotel in Zanzibar was marvelous, so maybe it has got a new owner and declined in quality. It was tranquil, very clean and well kept with maybe the most delicious food on the coast.

I found the relaxed atmosphere and quiet seclusion to be one of its plus points.

After a day of hustle and bustle in nearby Stone Town, it was nice to wind down with good food in comfortable surroundings.

The rooms were excellent, air conditioned and the bathroom & shower clean which was more than I found in some hotels nearby.

The hotel owner was a lovely man who could not do enough for us and I would recommend Sunrise hotel to anyone looking for a quiet hideaway.

The beach is beautiful, deserted and is only a few feet from the bar which is always a good thing. The food was first class and the staff courteous and helpful to a fault.

The hotel is situated next to a quiet stretch of beach lined with coconut palms. I spent my time lying in the hammock under the palms and walking a long the unspoilt beach.

The room was small but adequate with a Zanzibar style bed and furniture. It was only a few steps from the room to the beach.

The hotel is much understated and a bit old fashioned but very friendly and relaxing.

Breakfast was good, fresh fruit and choice of eggs. The food from the restaurant was good with particularly good fish dishes.

All in all a truly relaxing stay. Its so difficult to find somewhere so peaceful these days. If you want plenty of activities and entertainment this is not the place for you.

If you want a quiet retreat, this is the place.
