Ssese Islands Club lies on one of the untainted, largely unexplored virgin Bugala - Ssese Islands streaked on the Ugandan side of Lake Victoria, the largest fresh lake in Africa.

These islands present some of the most luxuriant tropical fauna and flora that make Uganda "The Pearl of Africa! The freshness of the island’s bright, white beaches and crystal clear water of the lake, the forests and grasslands tempered with colourful birds and butterflies is truly a breath taking experience.

Location:

Ssese Islands Club is located on Bugwanya Beach, in the Ssese Islands. It is 15 mins. Flight form Entebbe, 3 hours on an average boat, and 6 hours by road through Masaka town to Bukakata ferry and then to Kalangala.

Accommodation:

Ssese Islands Safari Club can accommodate 15 guests in individual wooden cabins. There are various types of room, all with en suite facilities.

Bulago Island is situated on Lake Victoria, close to both Kampala and Entebbe International Airport. Bulago Island is reached either by motor launch - a 40 minute journey - or by light aircraft from Entebbe - a 10 minute journey.

The Island has over 300 species of birds to watch, otters play along the shores, and the nature trails provide wonderful opportunities for observing nature at her best.

The 500 acre private island has a wide range of terrain, from rugged hills to open grassland to golden sandy beaches to gentle cliffs to areas of tropical forest.

It consists of 6 cottages with hot showers, flushing toilets and a plentiful supply of cold drinks and ice.

A bar and restaurant are situated in the grounds of the lodge. Care is taken to ensure mosquitoes do not trouble guests.

A range of watersports, fishing trips for giant Nile Perch and pony trekking can be offered.
