Serena Beach Hotel & Spa

You are Here: › Serena Beach Hotel & Spa

You can not go wrong with the Serena Beach Hotel & Spa at Shanzu Mombasa Kenya. I have been here several times - on business, with friends and family and on my own and enjoyed it all those times.

Perfect place to relax and unwind - just lying by the beach/pool sipping cocktails with a good book.

The service is great, the food is good (my favorites - the sea food at nearby hotel restaurant and the breakfast).

But my absolute favorite thing about the Serena Beach Hotel is the SPA. Whenever i visit another spa wherever I am in the world, always find myself comparing it to the Serena spa.

The Swahili architecture is beautiful, the service is awesome so make sure you get a massage or body treatment. Recommend highly if you are visiting Mombasa.

The location is on the beautiful beach, kept private by guards and very safe. Rooms are spread over the grounds, some closer to the beach than others, so try to get one close to the front.

Restaurant is wonderful - the selection of food is good, with an Indian influence. There was good entertainment during the meal and the service was wonderful

Bar was friendly and non-intrusive. Sadly when we were there the weather was unusually poor but it did not detract from the stay.

I would not recommend leaving the resort as the local area is not particulary safe for inexperienced or confident travellers. Why would you leave when there is everything you could want on site.
