Arusha Rivertrees Country Inn

Rivertrees Country Inn isn't a "luxury" hotel by the highest standards, but the rooms are clean, the grounds pleasant and relaxing, the staff friendly and helpful, the food good.

We stayed here two nights prior to our safari and it was the perfect place to unwind after 30 hours of bus travel from Uganda.

Given the challenges of providing a western-style accommodation in a country without a lot of infrastructure, we certainly appreciated the little touches--fresh flowers on our veranda, for example.

Sure, there were a little inconveniences, but all-in-all, a nice place to stay. We enjoyed watching the birds and the monkeys and strolling the grounds.

Food was second to none, we were treated like royalty by all the staff. The food at Rivertrees was great, we recommend the woodfired pizzas!! They were awesome.

This isn't a five star by any means, but the rooms are large, the beds comfortable. The water pressure is a bit hit and miss, but this is Africa!

The rooms are located in a beautiful park, lovely grassed areas with huge big trees. The massages were great.

The staff are friendly and helpful, a big thank you to Andrew who drove us to Arusha for the day. Kimberly and David, you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

We had an excellent 3 days here, it was the perfect start to our Tanzania trip. Thank you so much.
