Rain Forest Guest House

After a long day of work, I returned to the Rain forest guest house in Kibale forest national park Uganda and was completely taken care of!

Shower water hot and ready, dinner prepared and a warm smiling family ready to sit and chat over tea or give me quiet time to digest the day.

If you are looking to step away from the anonymous hotels this is the place. This is a delightful and affordable guest house on the road from FortPortal

to the chimp walks at Kibale Forest National Park.

Margaret Kemigisa and her family opened the Rain Forest Guest House and offer eight rooms that can be used as singles or doubles breakfast included.

Ample and delicious lunches or dinners. Meals are served in a dining room where guests eat family-style around one table.

A sitting room has a TV with DVD movies to watch from comfy chairs. Margaret and her husband Moses run the place with other on-site daily staff.

Each room has two single beds with mosquito nets. There's power but no hot water.

They provide plenty of hot water for bucket showers. There is both a squat toilet and a sitdown model.

Margaret is a tireless community activist and operates a gift shop in the guest house with crafts made by local women whose development she encourages.
