One Minute South

You are Here: › One Minute South

I can't recommend 'One Minute South' highly enough. I stayed there with a group of tourist in Uganda and we had a wonderful time. The house itself is set on a secluded part of Bulago Island with in Lake Victoria with its own beach and jetty.

It's here that you disembark from your Lake Victoria approach – perhaps the most romantic way to arrive at a place to stay.

The house itself is stunning to look at and beautifully furnished. Each bedroom has been decorated in a different style making choosing where to sleep the most difficult decision you'll have to make while staying there.

The bathrooms are modern but stylish (the free standing bath overlooking the terrace was a lovely touch).

The house comes fully staffed so you have no worries about preparing food. The pool and terrace look like something out of a photo shoot with a gorgeous beach and lake view.

Throughout the property there are a number of thoughtful touches to make your stay even more comfortable; a hammock on the beach, evening fires under the stars prepared by the staff, a bookshelf stacked with novels, magazines and board games.

In short I had a wonderful time and only wish I was still there and really recommend it to any one who wishes a best vacation in Uganda..
