Muremba Retreat Kitale

If you're planning a trip to Kitale.. Muremba Retreat Kitale is the place to stay. Lovely rooms.. a beautiful garden.. excellent service.. delicious food and the most friendly dogs. Kevin the caretaker was a great host.. he made us feel right at home.

Definitely the best thing about Muremba are the people who work there.

Kevin, the housekeeper was an amazing host, always ready to help or even be a friendly presence.

The food was also the best I had in Kitale or in Kenya for that matter - lots of variety, fresh ingredients, veggie friendly, and always more than enough to eat.

(Particularly worth noting is the Chinese sweet and sour soup).

The owners were also very attentive and ready to take care of any problems which might arise, and even generously sorted out some logistical problems for me.

You'll definitely feel very welcome and appreciated here.

The place itself has a huge, beautiful garden with avocado trees and three super friendly and playful "guard" dogs.

Accommodations were clean, secure, very quiet and pleasant. If you're in Kitale for a day or a for a month, this is a great place to stay and is definitely far, far superior to any of the hotels in town.
