Mount Elgon Hotel
We just finished our climb and descent of Mt. Elgon and didn't feel the need to stay at the Sipi Falls Lodge so we jumped in a mini-van and headed for Mbale.
The hotels in the city center didn't appeal so we tried our luck at the Mount Elgon Hotel (not to be confused with the NEW Mt. Elgon hotel).
This is a nicely refurbished hotel with a pool and a spa.
The restaurant is good and the grounds are well kept.
The laundry service was an added bonus.
It's not a hotel to stay in for more than a night or two.
But for us, it certainly served it's purpose.
