Mnarani Hotel Club in Kilifi

If you haven't decided on which hotel to stay in then try having a look at the Mnarani Hotel club in kilifi.

The last time we were there prior to this stay was 2001 and in between then and now have tried many of the north coast hotels including Serena, Whitesands, Voyager, travelers and Turtle Bay but this beats the lot of them.

The location is set on a cliff which overlooks a creek and Indian ocean and gets a lovely cooling breeze.

The food is excellent with a mixture of buffet and a la carte with some wonderful fish dishes.

Rooms are cool and clean and the hotel has its own private beach.

The hotel is managed by a south African couple who are continually trying to raise the standards and are focused on delivering a quality service.

They are in attendance for all the meals and take time to stop and talk to the guests during the meal service. They even conduct the welcome briefing when you first arrive which is a nice touch.

There are plenty of activates available to keep you active throughout your stay which mainly revolves around the water sports with a great selection of boats and windsurfers all well maintained and in very good condition.

There are also a number of brand new mountain bikes which you can use to explore the surrounding areas.

The swimming pool has the most amazing views across the creek out to the Indian ocean.

The surrounding area is perfectly safe to walk around during the day with everyone very friendly.
What I also liked was the mixture of guests coming from South Africa, Europe, Scandinavia and Kenya.

If you are looking for a holiday where you can do as much or little as you like, enjoy a small intimate hotel with great food, friendly staff and a proactive management team away from the areas of mass tourism then this is the hotel for you.
