Meremeta Lodge

You are Here: › Meremeta Lodge

If you want to know the island and its inhabitants and get some really unforgettable experience you should stay at meremeta Lodge in Mafia Island . On the whole island you won’t find someone as funny as meremeta and no one now as many people as meremeta, you'll stay laughing all the time.

He prepares delicious food, and if you like to you can join him cooking, he'll teach you all he know.

It feels like home, you use his kitchen as you like. He wakes you up when you want in the morning with the breakfast already prepared.

Than he shows you around if you like. He showed us his big passoinfruit-plantage, the luxury hotels where we were drinking wine, some lonely beaches, some local bar in the middle of the night and much more.

When we realised that we had forgot things when we arrived to the beach he drived us home to get them.

He serves you 24 hours a day! Just ask for what you want and he'll get it for you.

He only had two rooms so you will probably be the only guest and he pay you all attention.

Me and my boyfriend planned to stay there just for one night before we went back to the mainland, but it turned out to be six night.

We had such a good time. Even though its maybe 1 km to the sea it doesn't matter, you can use his bikes and sometimes he'll even drive you.

If you have a hard time to find meremeta or his lodge (shouldn't be a problem because his house is pink and just before the nationalpark-entrance, so you don't have to pay the fee of 20$/day) just ask anyone you meet for meremeta.

Everyone know meremeta and listen for the sound YEYE.

Thats him! It's different but much funnier than any other places I've stayed at, and that's maybe a hundred around the world.

Stay at meremeta's place and say hello to all his lovely friend, family, fruits and also his five tortoise!
