Mbuyuni Farm Retreat in Morogoro Tanzania

You are Here: › Mbuyuni Farm Retreat

Mbuyuni Farm Retreat in Morogoro Town Tanzania is a great weekend getaway place from Dar es Salaam.

It takes about 3 hours to drive here from Dar and it is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The cottages are beautifully furnished and very comfortable and have everything you could possibly need.

Mbuyini Farm is about 10km before Morogoro coming from Dar.

An organic farm run by a German couple, they have recently built a couple of holiday chalets on their ground.

It’s about 5min from the main road in between the fields, so it’s very quiet setting surrounded by Baobab trees and with the Morogoro mountains in the distance.

It’s the perfect place to chill out for a long weekend and enjoy the beautiful countryside with walks etc in the pleasant Morogoro climate.

I liked it so much, that I returned a second time during my nine months in Tanzania.

The cottages are really beautifully decorated and nicely spaced from each other, so that you have privacy should someone else stay in the other cottage. One of them has got a kitchen attached to it, that is fully equipped for your cooking needs.

There is a nice swimming pool set in-between the farm house and the cottages.

The owners are really lovely and helped us out greatly when our car broke down on the main road.

If you are looking for a nice weekend break away from Dar or a stopover on your way upcountry, this is a great place to stay.
