Lua Cheia Beach

Not sure where to start. I cannot describe the magic of this piece of Mafia. To start we must be very clear about the location of Lua Cheia Beach Camp as it´s located in the north side of the island, about 40´from the main village, Kilindoni.

The place is basic however you feel luxury due to the little details they provide. The food is excellent , the rooms are clean and the bar is tailor made for your requirements.

Sebastian was the guy dealing with the camp and he seems to know a lot about the area making us feel comfortable all the time, he was on top of all the details and very concerned about our experience there.

I have to admit that the facilities are not the best however people visiting Lua Cheia must know the conditions of the area and paying 140 for a full board plan is cheap in places like this.

Definitely the beach and the village near the camp are unique. This is a hidden gem and hope this place keeps like this. For those looking for paradise beaches with no people around in miles and miles this is the place.

I cannot say enough about the lovely Lua Cheia Resort. We are typically a five star travelers and I was a bit apprehensive about staying in a tented community on a rather quiet island.

It was truly an unspoiled paradise. The accommodations are wonderful. Clean, large, lovely furniture (think "Out of Africa"), beautiful linens and a great shower!

Meals are served in a common tent or on the beach just feet from the Indian Ocean and the table is shared with other guests which we loved.

Beautiful table settings and fresh flowers are abundant. (You may request to eat anywhere and the staff will provide.)

Deep Sea Fishing is a must and the resort will prepare your catch of the day for no extra charge.

The food was outstanding, healthy, wholesome and fresh! The service was impeccable! The beach is lovely and the shell hunting outstanding. Cannot say enough great things about it!
