Lazuli Restaurant Zanzibar

Fresh fruit juices at Lazuli Restaurant are the best thing I've tasted in months and the best in Stonetown.

Loved the food and the service. All this place needs is a balcony and it would be the top restaurant in Stonetown.

We had the chapati wraps and prawn tempura, all fresh, delicious and at a very good price.

We highly recommend Lazuli but make sure you arrive early as seating is limited.

I wasn't looking for local style food.

My friend and I went to Kihaga, a great clothing boutique on the road they call 'snake road' over by Sasik (amazing pillows, you'll see them at almost every hotel on the island!), and the owner recommended Lazuli as her favorite.

It was the best meal I had during my two week stay on Zanzibar and definitely in a long time.

The smoothies are delicious, smooth and with great flavor balance.

My favorite however was the homemade coolers! So refreshing a great pick-me-up in the middle of the day.

The menu is varied and inventive. The bread fresh, soft and light.

And both times we ate there it was delicious. The staff are super friendly and it is a chill, peaceful atmosphere.

As far as what people say about the wait time for food, it is all made fresh so don't expect it to be on your table within 5 minutes of ordering.

It is a smaller place, but not cramped or anything and a good place to take a break.

Things on the island are more relaxed, so go with it, have a nice conversation and enjoy Lazuli! It is a must if you are visiting Zanzibar.
