Lake Victoria Serena Resort

I really like Lake Victoria Serena Resort in Busabara Kampala Uganda. Staff very friendly. Gym is extremely good for a hotel.

Love my Balcony and view of Lake Victoria. The only reason I'm wouldn't rate this a 5 star Hotel is the internet challenges the hotel was facing.

Also there is a 12-14 minute bumpy 2KM dirt ride up from main road connecting Kampala with Entebbe. Not pleasant but it is Africa.

Again I would stay here again with the limitations on Internet, only because I love the property. So much more pleasing than staying in city of Kampala.

Resort is beautiful and very peaceful. Rooms are spotlessly clean and based in individual villas within the grounds with amazing views of the lake (signs to the individual villa blocks are not great!).

The outdoor Terrace was the perfect place for an after-work drink. Breakfast was buffet style and both plentiful and delicious.

Pool was very big with a range of sunbeds and great staff manning the bar.

We had dinner in the hotel 2 nights and had no complaints. Staff are incredibly friendly, polite and helpful.

Other Hotels and Holiday Resorts

Two tiny gripes (and one of them the hotel can do nothing about - its nature) 1. the flies from the lake were just awful, but whilst we were there they were expecting wet weather which apparently makes them worse.

I wonder if putting citronella candles on the tables may help?? And 2, and this really is a tiny tiny gripe, there was no iron and ironing board in my room. I could have rang housekeeping and they would have supplied one no problem but I do like them to be already in the room.

I would without doubt stay here again! Its beautiful.
