Lake Naivasha Country Club Hotel and grounds are lovely.

We saw hippos, zebra, waterbuk on the lawn, and colobus and vervet monkeys on our roof! The dining area was pleasant,

The food was average, except the homemade herb bread at breakfast was wonderful.

Our room, kind of an attached cottage was colonial style with a tile roof and floors, large bed, front porch, dressing room and bathroom.

It was raining rather hard when we checked in, and the room was the absolute farthest from the dining area, but the hotel furnishes huge umbrellas, so even that was pleasant.

We did not use the pool or spa area, but the viewing dock was great for hippo-watching at sunset.

With so much to do, we didn't get to truly enjoy everything this wonderful place has to offer.

There is a lovely pool, fitness center, bar, a dock with viewing of game and hippos, and lovely, manicured grounds.

The room was wonderful. At night, the guards will escort you on the grounds to observe the hippos. The animals run freely here at night. Enjoy but beware.

Food was of excellent quality and the staff members were so friendly and helpful.

I got to enjoy a great run on the grounds, too . It was great to run on the grass and enjoy the wildlife and surroundings.

We also took a side trip to Crescent Island. There was excellent game viewing here.
We wish we could have spent a few more nights here!
