Kisoro Tourist Hotel

We stayed at Kisoro Tourist Hotel in Kisoro Town Uganda for 2 nights in when we drove to Kisoro from Kampala for the Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Trek.

After a long 13 hour drive to get here, and seeing the other buildings in this fairly remote little town of Kisoro, we were pleased to see the hotel and our room.

Room was on second floor, good sized, good bed with mosquito net.

Small bathroom with good hot shower. Had a balcony we could hang our stuff out on and with great view of volcano to the south.

People were very friendly, had some beers in their little bar. Had good dinner both nights in their restaurant - good food and price.

The staff were up and had full breakfast ready for us at some ridiculously early hour the day we were heading off for the Gorilla Trek and that was an excellent start.

Amongst its peers in the area, Kisoro Tourist Hotel probably rates higher than just "average" but we rated it average because I expect most people are comparing it to western standard hotels.

Bottom line is we would certainly go back to this hotel if we ever end up in Kisoro again.
