Kinigi Guesthouse Ruhengeri Rwanda

You are Here: › Kinigi Guesthouse

Kinigi Guesthouse is located very close to the start point of the gorilla treks.

As you need to be there for 7 a.m. this is an added bonus.

It has a peaceful rural location and attractive setting.

The welcome is very friendly and the staff helpful.

The rooms themselves are very basic but the beds are clean and reasonably comfortable but a bit hard for my liking.

The bathroom has some mold on the walls but otherwise ok.

They have a very extensive menu here and food was fine. On our second night there was a buffet on as the guesthouse was very busy but it wasn't served until 8.30 and a lot of people were getting very hungry by then.

In short, given the cost of most accommodation in the area, this represents a reasonable budget option but 1 or 2 nights would be enough. It wouldn't take much to bring the standard up in the bathrooms so hopefully this will happen in time.

It's not a place I would like to stay at for too long but as a budget option for gorilla treking I would recommend it.
