Minimum Entry Requirements


  • C in KCSE or Division II in O-Level or its equivalents with a C in Mathematics and English, or
  • At least a pass in a recognized certificate course taken over a period of at least 9 months.

Exemption Policy

  • CPA I/Certificate in Banking and Financial Services or equivalent shall have a credit transfer of up to a maximum of six equivalent units
  • CPA II/AKIBS/IMIS Diploma or equivalent shall have a credit transfer of up to a maximum of eight equivalent units
  • CPA K/ACCA/IMIS Higher Diploma or equivalent shall have a credit transfer of up to a maximum of ten equivalent units

Mode of Study and Course Duration

Full time: 5 - three months semester or 15 months with the first four semesters dedicated to course work and the fifth internship programme/research project

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • O-Level grade of C with C in English and C in either Mathematics, Accounting, Commerce or Economics
  • O-Level Division II, with Credit 6 in English and Credit 6 in either Mathematics or Principles of Accounts
  • A-Level with Principle E in Mathematics or Economics and a Subsidiary in General Paper
  • Credits in Bridging for Certificate in Banking and Financial Services

Duration: 1 year

Admission Dates: January and May of every year

  1. Associate  of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB)


Minimum Entry Requirements


  • Certificate in Banking and Financial Services or
  • University Degree from a recognized university or
  • Acceptable professional qualification e.g. Final Stage CPA(K), CPS(K) or
  • Banking Certificate (UK) or
  • The Pre-Associateship Certificate or
  • The Certificate of Financial Services Practice or
  • Certificate in Building Society Practice

Course Duration: 15 months


Admission Dates: January and May of every year
