One & Half Days Kenya Safari to Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary,Kenya Mombasa Safari Vacation1 is a safari from Mombasa to Mwaluganje.

You can get a one and half day Kenya safari from Mombasa to Mwalunganje elephant sanctuary. Mwaluganje is a bull area and offers a superb opportunity to see Kenya's big tuskers.

Elephants are the big attraction and there are plenty of them. The endemic three mio years old cycad palms make Mwaluganje floristically unique.


Itinerary:

Day 1: In the morning depart from your beach hotel to Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary. Apart from the elephants there are plenty of other attractions like large mammals including some warthog, bushbuck, waterbuck, baboons, colobus and sykes monkeys.

The landscape in Mwaluganje is diverse and ranges from the dry baobab bush land to moist deciduous forest on the hills and riverine forest along the streams.

The presence of an endemic cycad that looks like a primitive palm tree makes Mwaluganje floristically unique. On arrival at Mwaluganje, havegame drive in the sanctuary until lunch at Travellers Mwaluganje Elephant Camp.

The camp is set along the shoulder of a low hill facing a traditional elephant trail, allowing gueststo watch the elephants from the comfort of their well-appointed luxury tents. In the afternoon have game drive until sunset.

There is hight diversity of butterflies resulting from the diverse habitats - along the Manolo River you will see species typical of savannah and semi-arid country.

This is also a birdwatchers' haven with some of the most spectacular birds of prey such as the monkey-eating crowned eagle and the palm nut vulture. Dinner and overnight at Travellers Mwaluganje Elephant Camp.

Day 2: After breakfast, have game drive enroute to the sanctuary gate for the return journey to your beach hotel.
