Overview


The Institute has well established formal and informal links with major institutions including Resource Alliance, Technoserve, and the World Bank.

More than 8,000 persons attend the various KIM programmes every year, including a growing number from other PTA countries.

The general management of the Institute is overseen by a Council elected during the Annual General Meeting. M

embers participate in the management of the Institute through the Council and its Committees, with advice from an advisory board refered to as the Board of Fellows. The National Chairman is the patron of the Institute.

The Management is led by an Executive Director who reports to the Council. Currently the Institute has over 100 permanent and pensionable employees and over 200-strong associate faculty both local and international.

It has eleven fledged branches namely;Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Thika, Kisii, Kisumu, Kakamega, Kericho, Nyeri, Embu and Eldoret. The Head Office-Management Centre, is located at Nairobi, South C off Mombasa Road.
