Karibu Guest House

Karibu Guest House is a great place to stay in Entebbe town Uganda. We travelled around Entebbe for 2 weeks, and have to say, Karibu stood out as being the best value for money, which is why I'm here commenting.

Our room was very comfortable, spacious, and the showers are awesome! The breakfasts are great, really tasty and good quality. The owners are clearly focused on customer service and quality.

The other thing I want to mention is a great idea to stay in Entebbe. Entebbe is a sleepy town with lots of peaceful places to relax by the lake or in the Botanical Gardens on arrival to the country, or as you are leaving.

The Karibu is new establishment, run by an enterprising couple (he from New Zealand, she from France). The Karibu is a basic, straightforward kind of place, with a small number of rooms.

The Karibu is very clean, rooms, while basic have solid beds with mosquito nets and the shower has lots of hot water.

Internet access is a huge plus (although good luck with consistent wifi access in Uganda!).

The breakfasts are fantastic - full english-style, with pancakes, fresh fruits and muesli as well, and fresh-squeezed juices.

The dinners are excellent - Leslie being from France is a fantastic cook and the meals were first class!

Kevin and Leslie work hard to ensure guest needs are met and they are eager to please.

The staff are also very pleasant. Overall - highly recommended and I will stay there again for sure on my next trip!
