Inside Afrika Hotel Kigali

Inside Afrika boutique hotel is a gem in Kigali.

It is well located in Kiyovu, has an excellent view over the city, employs helpful and attentive staff and is reasonably priced for the facilities available, which include a small pool.

It only provides breakfast, which is fine; and there is a range of good restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed at Inside Afrika for 2 weeks in January. On arriving we immediately knew we had made the right choice.

The hotel is quiet, clean, cosy and nicely decorated, with Rwandan crafts.

We had a very spacious room, very clean, with a nice shower.

Sometimes the pressure was a bit low, but they could switch on the pump and that solved the problem.

Other Hotels and Lodges 

We all had mosquito nets, although the rooms were sprayed every evening so there were no mosquitos.

The grounds are very well kept.

I would really recommend this place, in particular for longer stays as you'll feel more at home than at a "regular" hotel. Also you might be able to get a special rate: we got 100 dollars/night for the room.

The location is also convenient, not far from the centre, although you might need a taxi when it's too hot to walk!
