Hotel Dik Dik and Restaurant, built and managed by a Swiss family opened its doors in 1990. The hotel is situated at 1100 meters (3600 feet) above sea level at the foot of Mount Meru, half way between Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport.

The hotel takes its name from one of the smallest gazelles in Africa, which live on the nearby mountain slops.

The hotel professional staff offer high standard services to the guests as this is one of the major hotels in Arusha.

The fresh fruits and vegetables served to the guests is from their own maintained greenhouses.

There is a total of nine bungalows that are well equipped with modern comforts such as en suite bathroom, hair driers, minibar, mosquito nets and a personal verandah with hammock.

The pool offers a great place for relaxation after safari, while just next to the pool is a bar for one to get refreshments especially a collection of South African wines.

Elegant cuisine is served at the restaurant prepared by professional chefs from the produce of the gardens.
