Great Lakes Hotel Kisumu

I've stayed at Great Lakes Hotel twice and the first time the staff was OK but not amazing.

This time, there seems to be a lady that I think may be the new manager here. She made the place very good.

Nothing was too much of a problem. My girlfriend forgot her shower cap so she asked me to go down to reception and ask for one as well as an extra towel as only one was left for us.

Other Hotels and Lodges 

I spoke to the lady and asked her for an extra towel and she asked me if I would also like a shower cap for my lady.

It shocked me because this kind of service is rarely found in Kenya. The restaurant on the other hand does not have the right attitude but I hope it filters through in time because the rest of our stay was terrific.

Note that there is no elevator here and a lot of stairs if you are put on one of the high floors which may be a problem to elderly people but to us was not.
