Zanzibar Flame Tree Cottages Restaurant

We visited Zanzibar Flame Tree Cottages Restaurant based on a friend and were not disappointed. We stayed at the Z Hotel which is about 10 minutes along the beach.

The food was excellent and the service to match.

Both of the owners came out to greet us which was very nice.

Would highly recommend this place.

Passed this restaurant several times on our way to the more famous (and busy) restaurant area of Nungwi.

The last evening we went in and found a quiet romantic garden setting with excotic trees, on a higher elevated place with great ocean view.

The owner Elisabeth decided to use sand in stead of earth for the terras, which gives it a real beachy feeling!!!

Delicious chicken springrolls, traditional prepared Zanzibar fish, Indian style beef curry, it was all very tasteful and fair priced.

Menu varies every day. South African wine by the carton needs improvement. Further a big tumb up for the owners (always around) Seif and Elisabeth!!
