We stopped for an unplanned lunch at Zanzibar Emerson Spice Restaurant and were very impressed with the excellent service and food.

Presentation was excellent, the flavors were creative, and everything was fresh.

We enjoyed chatting with Mr. Emerson and are looking forward to visiting the rooftop restaurant dinner on our next trip to Stonetown.

Had a wonderful Prix Fixe $25 5 course dinner on our first night in Stone Town - Only downside was the email response to my booking request which advised I needed to call at the hotel and pay $20 deposit before 2pm to reserve a table -

Arrived early for a cocktail and to watch the sunset - the meal was fantastic and the owner was around during the evening making sure everyone was happy! Cannot recommend highly enough!

We stayed at the hotel and had breakfast everyday. Always fresh and properly prepared.

We had a snack lunch of Lobster and Calamari, wow fresh and cooked to perfection,

And the evening 5 course menu, I have no words it was so good, we ate there every day while in Zanzibar and every day it got better.

So if you are looking for special place to grab a bite wondering the city, or have that special dinner. I would recommend Emerson Spice restaurant.
