Elementaita Country Lodge will always have a special place in my heart.

The atmosphere is just what it is, fantastic.

From the scenery to just how cold it can get, personally i would trade that weather for any other place in the world.

I am actually glad that they have wonderfull rooms especially the cottages (Cottage number 6) where we spend our 2 nights.

Back to basics, the food is fantastic, the potions, generous but the time it takes to order and have the food sitting pretty at the lounge.

However the food was really up to standards and is worth the pay.

This is a serene location with a great view. It was relaxing and the staff were very nice and friendly.

Lake Elementaita is a favorite weekend getaway spot for Nairobians so we had expected it to be much more crowded although I presume it was because it was after Easter Break.

The room was very nice and comfortable with a lovely shaded porch that looked down on the lake.

Rooms were very nice. We had a great experience here and highly recommend it.

There was plenty of game and thousands of birds to see, although the flamingos were on "vacation" at Lake Boringo during our visit.

The dance show each night was fantastic! We sat outside next to a campfire enjoying a cocktail (they make fantastic cocktails, the best piña colada I have ever had) enjoying a 30 minute dance show each night before dinner.

It gave the lodge a great sense of community as most guests went to this and then onto dinner after that. Having said this it felt quite intimate and was lovely!

Lake Elementaita is definitely worth adding to your African experience. We wished we had longer than one night to enjoy it.
