Dar es Salaam Anghiti Restaurant

We went to Dar es Salaam Anghiti Restaurant on the recommendation of our managers, who had eaten there before

When we arrived, the restaurant was not very inspiring from either outside or inside; the latter being dark and in need of some maintenance and paint.

f We did want to sit on the outside terrace but were told that this is only possible in the evenings.

The service staff were friendly enough and we soon had our drinks in front of us. The food however took a loooong time coming, about 50 minutes; very unusual for an Indian restaurant.

When the food did arrive, it was excellent and all was forgiven immediately.

The garlic Naans were light and fluffy and the curries were all excellent.

The sauces were obviously made from scratch, unlike some Indian restaurants where the same base sauce is used and then adjusted as the orders come in.

I love Indian cuisine and this is excellent.

We had a sampler of tandoori for starters and then a spinach pander, chicken mukhani, mutton tikka masala at we shared with abandon. The garlic nan was light and flavorful. Highly recommend
