Country Lodge Nairobi

Country Lodge Nairobi is based on a great concept - functionality without the excesses I normally associate with hotels, especially in Nairobi. The rooms have a Swedish feel to the design; they are minimal yet meet all expectations (indeed I had the best shower I've had in Nairobi).

What most appealed to me was the low impact feel of the hotel; they have rainwater harvesting, the breakfast is full but one doesn't get the impression food will be thrown away and the staff are efficient rather than vacuous.

The Fairview and several other restaurants are nearby.

Visiting friends I hadn't seen for years, I spent one night and was very surprised, everything is perfect in this hotel, it really looks like new, modern fashion, very kind staff, also the possibility to pay by credit card.

Situated outside the noisy and busy city center, very quiet, very clean, excellent breakfast and very good WIFI net, particularly in the bedroom.

I strongly recommend this hotel and I will certainly return in this place if I had to go back some day to Nairobi.

Bedroom was very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of place for laptop and different AC sockets on the wall, there are some good restaurants at walking distance, didn't have the opportunity to test the swimming pool.
